Glutathione Therapies

Glutathione is a very important cell protector. It directly quenches free radicals. GSH is a primary protector of the skin, lens, cornea, and retina against radiation damage, and plays a crucial role in detoxification in the liver, kidneys, lungs, intestinal epithelia, and other organs.

Glutathione has been found to regulate protein and DNA biosynthesis, cell growth and it enhances immunologic function through it's effects on lymphocytes. Depletion of intracellular glutathione is linked to numerous health conditions.

Glutathione is part of our anti-aging program as it helps stimulate collagen synthesis and increase the skin’s radiance. It works to support the liver, immune and cardiovascular system.

In our office, it is administered over 20-30 minutes intravenously as a separate treatment or as a follow-up treatment after chelation therapy or one of our other anti-aging IV’s.

Nebulized Glutathione

Glutathione in the epithelial lining fluid of the lower respiratory tract is the first line of defense against oxidative stress of airborne pollutants. Inhalation (nebulized or aerosolized) glutathione is the only known method that increases not only protective function, but also restores elasticity and expansion of the lung’s alveoli.

Providing the lungs with glutathione decreases the cellular damage and inflammation and repairs the tissues.

For acute conditions such as cold or flu nebulized Glutathione can decrease nasal obstruction and help with mucous elimination, and ear fullness.

It is crucial for liver detoxification and elimination of mercury and lead from the body. It is used for fatty liver, acute and chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis.

Nebulized glutathione is convenient non—invasive form of administration that can be suitable for all ages. A nebulizer mask is placed over the nose and mouth and the patient is asked to breathe normally as the glutathione is administered through the nebulizer.

For severe or advanced conditions treatment is recommended daily. For management and prevention purposes it can be done once or twice per week. The treatment takes 5-15 minutes and is given in the office.
