General Blood Work

Healthy Living Profile:

CBC + Diff, Albumin, Total Protein, Globulin, Alk Phos, ALT, AST, GGT, LD, Bilirubin, total and direct, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate, Calcium, Phosphate, Creatinine, Urea, Glucose, fasting, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Uric Acid, Iron/TIBC

Albumin is tested to check how well the liver and kidneys are working and to find out if diet contains enough protein.

Electrolytes are minerals, such as sodium, chloride, potassium, and carbon dioxide. They keep body’s fluids and pH in balance and regulate heart rhythm, muscle contraction, and brain function.

Globulin is tested to determine chances of developing an infection or blood disease.

Glucose detects signs of diabetes and prediabetes and to monitor for high or low blood glucose (hyper or hypoglycemia).

Iron/TIBC is used to assist in the diagnosis of anemia, malnutrition, cirrhosis of the liver and inflammation in general.

Kidney Function tests are BUN, Creatinine, GFR, Uric Acid.

Liver enzymes detect function, inflammation , or damage to the liver. They include ALT, AST, alkaline phosphatase, GGT, albumin, and bilirubin.

Uric Acid is used to diagnose gout and to see if kidney stones might be caused by high uric acid in the blood.

Hematology Profile:

CBC & diff: Complete blood count; rules out anemias, immune system analysis, and infection screening.

Ferritin: Evaluates the level of iron stored in your body
