Vitamin B12 is a vitamin that can be found in foods such as meat, fish, and dairy products. Vitamin B12 is given by injection into a muscle or under the skin. Dosage is based on the medical condition we are trying to treat and response to treatment. Injections may be given daily when you first start treatment. Certain medical conditions (e.g., pernicious anemia) may require you to continue receiving injections every month.
